The Drake & Lawton Railroad

Railroad Runs!

The Drake & Lawton Railroad is finally running. Although nowhere near its finished state, industries in the town of Drake and Lawton are now sending shipments to and receiving shipments from Chicago.  Trains runs to and from Chicago twice daily with each run, including local switching of cars receives and sent, taking approximately six scale hours.

Management is looking forward to the time when trains will also run to Omaha, Fremont Yard, and the industrial park the city of Fremont is making plans to build.

At the present time, all trains for Omaha are sent to Chicago for forwarding from there.

Ride the $DLRR

While the Drake & Lawton railroad is not yet offering passenger service, persons interested in riding the railroad may make arrangements to ride in the engine, with the engineer's permission, or the caboose, with the conductor's permission. To request a ride on this new railroad, contact management at the railroad's headquarters. The office is open 10 am to 10 pm daily.

Railroad Hiring

The Drake & Lawton Railroad, better known as the $DLRR (pronounced dollar) is now taking applications for the positions of engineer and conductor. Salary is minimal but benefits are terrific. Experience is not required as training is provided.

Applications are also being taken for the position of Electrical Engineer Consultant. Applicants for this position must have experience at building walk-around throttles.
